IntelliTrack Mobile Batch Data Processing
Note: In order to reach this page and process the data, the role of the logged-in user must include edit access to the Batch Processing feature.
IntelliTrack Mobile for Windows Batch collects the mobile data in batch mode. This means that with the IntelliTrack Mobile for Windows Batch application, IntelliTrack data is downloaded to the portable device and uploaded to the main IntelliTrack web application by performing a data sync in IntelliTrack Mobile Batch. Batch transaction data that has been uploaded to the main application is retrieved and processed at the Upload Processing page. Until the transaction data is processed, it is not part of the main IntelliTrack database.
Synchronizing the Databases
In IntelliTrack Mobile for Windows Batch, the data sync is performed in the batch application at the mobile device from the Sync menu option; for more information see "Sync Batch Data". A data sync MUST BE PERFORMED in order to update the main database with batch transactions and to update the batch database with the main application data.
- To download data to IntelliTrack Mobile batch, select Sync > Download from the menu bar.
- To upload data to the IntelliTrack web application, select Sync > Upload from the menu bar.
Downloading Application Data to the Device
When you download data to the device, the following application data is sent there:
- Users: the user's list, including username and password
- Division(s): division list
- Site(s): site list
- Locations: location list
- Items: item list
- Units of Measure: unit of measure lookup list
- Assets: asset list ( IntelliTrack Assets)
- Reservations: ( IntelliTrack Assets)
- Inventory: inventory list
- Customers: customer list ( IntelliTrack Inventory or IntelliTrack Inventory)
- Vendors: vendor list ( IntelliTrack Inventory or IntelliTrack Inventory)
- Assignees: ( IntelliTrack Assets): assignee list
- Picking Orders: open picking orders ( IntelliTrack Inventory)
- Receiving Orders: open receiving orders ( IntelliTrack Inventory)
- Conditions: condition list
- Barcode Parsing Rules: barcode parsing rule list
- Custom Resources: custom titles
Uploading Collected Data from the Device to the Workstation
When operating IntelliTrack Mobile for Windows in batch mode, you must send, or upload, the data collected in the device to the web application in order to integrate it into the main application database. The transaction data processing is performed in the main application; for more information see "Processing the Uploaded Data".
The following collected data is uploaded to the application during a data upload:
- Locations: any locations added during this batch session are uploaded and placed into the main location table.
- Items: any items added during this batch session are uploaded and placed into the main item table.
- Assets: any assets added during this batch session are uploaded and placed into the main assets table.
- Transactions: any batch transactions that are performed during this batch session are uploaded and placed in a separate uploaded data table. [As transactions are performed in the batch application, they are shown in the Collected Data form (see "Batch Collected Data").] The uploaded batch transactions (see "Mobile Batch Transactions") are able to be viewed and processed into the main IntelliTrack application at the Upload Processing page.
Batch Data Processing Guidelines
Transactions performed in IntelliTrack Mobile for Windows batch MUST BE PROCESSED into the main IntelliTrack database AFTER the data is uploaded.
- Transactions: The transaction data is processed into the main application database from the Upload Processing page. Until the uploaded transaction data is processed, it remains separate from the main IntelliTrack database.
- Items,
- After the uploaded data is processed into the IntelliTrack web application, PERFORM a DATA DOWNLOAD in IntelliTrack Mobile batch (Sync > Download) so that the batch database contains the most recent IntelliTrack data.
